Day 27: Isabella

What a special day and true celebration....Isabella's 4th Birthday Party!!! This is my great niece who was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) at 3 months old and the progrnosis was that she wouldn't live to be 2.  Well, again, this party is in celebration of her 4th birthday. Zoo Zoom came with pettable vermin: rabbits, tortoise, hedgehog, glider squirrel, guinnea pigs, rats, snakes, a wallaby, gecko and more, and then came the pony's and goats.  The bottom picture is her momma and daddy holding her as she went for a pony ride. SMILES abounding. Best birthday party I've been too in a long time!!

Day 26: Port Rd RR Bridge at Sunset

I've seen this many times on my way home, but finally had my camera with me.

Day 25: Part 2 - The Bowling Alley

Catching Twaillah catching one of the junior bowlers putting his move on!!!

Day 25: Cali sporting her sweater keeping watch!

Day 24: Days end......

Hand held and blurry, definitely needed my tripod here, but couldn't pass up the photo.

Day 24: Part 2 360 degrees........

Today's PAD (above)..... but standing in the same spot, turned to might right to see two deer crossing Todville and scurry off into the park trail and wanted to capture the warmth of 180 degrees from the setting sun's reflection.

Day 24: Friday's sign of winter

It's a little after 8 am, temps around 26 degrees and these baby icicles are all there is!

I decided to take a drive to see how the neighborhood and surrounding area fared. This is a few blocks away.  Pretty, although forced. See the hose on the ground to the right of the tree.

Day 23: The storm has arrived.

I decided I would get up every two hours in hopes of catching the snow. HA! If you look closely, you'll see fine bits of freezing rain on the blade of the paperwhites. Strange lighting here.... reddish amber is from the street light, but with flash to catch the freezing rain.

Day 22: Shells idea to warm us up.

Shell's flare had the sky glowing as their flares were blowing wide open.

Day 22: Kinda wicked....no flash and w/flash

First shot is in manual mode, second in night mode w/flash. These were taken about 10 pm and between freezing rain and wind was not there 2 hours later.

Day 21: Before the Storm

Same location as Lisa's Seagull shot, a day or two later. Sylvan Beach, La Porte, TX

Day 20: One More of the Moon's Reflection

Clouds are beginning to roll in, but you still see Mr. Moon's reflection off in the distance.

Day 19: Gone Fishing.....

Ok, so I totally missed the shot of this little guy snatching up a small shrimp, a couple chomps and done. Sometime you need to be in Auto mode....or Sport for this.

Day 18: Standing Watch

The top photo is my pad for the day, but couldn't help the little bit of flight in this pic.

Day 17: Demo'ing Kitchen Tiles......

Do over! I think my Auto Focus was turned off, as all pics of the demo'ing are out of focus.  It's back on now!

Day 16: The Kemah Boardwalk From Afar

I'm down at the bay, looking towards the Kemah Boardwalk, using my 500mm lens w/2x converter.  3.5 miles by road.  Not a good pic, but just amazed at the distance. I'll have to take one with my regular lens and set them side by side for comparison.

Day 15: The Moon's Reflection

This was taken down at the bay of the moon's reflection on the water.
